The Sharks

Shark

Shark (gauge 1.20, 1.25, et 1.30) is a mono-filament. This string gives a nice ball control and is not so powerfull. Strings do not slip much. It is recommended for players looking for ball control.
Good quality/price ratio. 3 different gauges are available. Use a thin gauge if you need more ball speed. A thicker gauge gives more ball control and makes it more resistant. Use a thin gauge with 18 mains raquets. If you like the Shark but you want more power, try the Yellow Shark.

Red Shark

Red Shark (gauge 1.28) is a mono-filaments that can be compared with the Shark. The string gives a nice ball control and is confortable to play with. It also gives more power than the Shark. Its unique gauge 1.28 mm makes it resistant. This string is recommended for competition tennis players.
I recommend the Red Shark for 16 mains raquets. If you look for more ball speed, try the Yellow Shark.

Yellow Shark (gauge 1.25)

Yellow Shark (gauge 1.25) is a mono-filament more powerfull than the Red Shark. The string provides ball power with a nice ball control. Nice ball bites with the strings, good for ball spin.
The Yellow Shark is recommended for competition players. Its unique gauge 1.25 can be used for any kind of raquet frame.

White Shark

White Shark is a really powerfull string. It also gives a great ball bites for great ball spin. However,it is difficult to play with due to its power. You have a better ball control with the other Sharks.
After using it for the first time, I was really surprised about the string's power but I got used to it a couple of practice. I like it a lot!
It is recommended for competition tennis players.
White Shark + Explosion is a hybrid called Pure Power.

Pure Power

Pure Power is a powerfull hybrid. I had been using it for a long time with my Head Prestige 630 (18 mains). White Shark 1.25 mm (for mains) is a mono-filament as well as the Explosion 1.20 mm (for crosses). It is more powerfull than the White Sharks thanks to the thin gauge of the Explosion. It gives more ball control than the Explosion.
It is recommended for competition tennis players. It is a really good string!

Hybrids

Silver Touch is a hybrid string (2 different strings, gauge 1.25 et 1.30 mm).

A mono-filament string is used for the mains and a multi-filament (more flexible) for the crosses.
It is not a powerfull string but is easy to play with and really confortable. The Silver Touch will pleased players looking for ball touch and control. Many great seniors tennis players are using it because of their sliced backhand.

Reflex is a hybrid string (2 different strings, gauge 1.23 et 1.30 mm).

A mono-filament string is used for the mains and a multi-filament (more flexible) for the crosses. This string offers a nice ball control and playability. It is a resistant string. It is not as powerfull as many other strings. It is recommended for competion players. It will fit with baseliners and powerfull players. Many french players use it.

Pacific

Pacific Entermark est le nouveau fournisseur officiel de cordages et de grips de l' ATP.

Poly Force (gauge 1.24)

is a nice quality string made for competition players. The Poly Force provides ball speed with a great ball control.Strings do not slip much. It is resistant but recommended to change it after 10 to 15 hours of use because of a tension loss.
The Poly Force will pleased baseliners using topspin.
It is a really nice string used by pros and many German players.

Poly Gut Youzhny

is a hybrid, Poly Force for the mains and a natural gut (Touch Gut) for the mains. The Touch Gut provides an excellent ball touch, control, and confort. It is flexible but gives great ball speed. Roger Federer is one of the first player to have used this kind of hybrid combinaition. Today, many pros use it.
It can be used by any tennis player.

Iso- Speed

Pyramid (gauge 1.30)

is a polyester having a triangular shape, in order to give more ball spin. I can tell that this string is so powerfull and the ball spin is amazing. However; it is difficult to control the ball.
It is recommended for advanced tennis players and will fit with players using topsin and slices.
I really liked playing with it.

Kirschbaum

Supersmash

Supersmash (gauge 1.25 mm) is a polyester string used by many pros such as Guillermo Canas. It is a powerfull string with such a great ball control. Its efficiency life time is quite short due to a tension loss. Even though, it is resistant, I recommend to change it often in order to optimize its qualities.
It is recommended for baseliners using topspin.

Competition

Competition (gauge 1.25 mm) is a mono-filament that feels like the Supersmash. It gives a nice ball speed with great ball control. The tension loss is smaller than the Supersmash, which gives a longer efficiency life time. This string is destinated for clay court players because of its power, control, and durability.
Kirschbaum strings have been used by pros for many years.
Polyfibre

« Touch Control Spin »

« Touch Control Spin » TCS (gauge 1.25 mm) is a polyester string. It feels like the Signum Pros's Poly Megaforce. It is a powerfull string that has control to the ball. The tension does not drop so much even after many hours of use.
TCS is destinated to tournament players.
Some of you will like its bright yellow color (not visible on the picture).

Wave

Explosion (gauge 1.20 mm)

It think it's a great string. It is really powerfull (like the White Shark) with a decent ball control. Nice ball bite which gives ball spin and control. Strings do not slip much but it is not so resistant. I recommend it for 18 mains raquets, or get the thicker gauge.
Any kind of player can use the Explosion, especially baseliners.

Toro (gauge 1.30 mm)

is a polyester really resistant, not so powerfull but confortable to play with. There is a tension loss after few hours of use.
It is recommended for 16 mains racquets because of its thick gauge.
Great quality/price ratio.
Players who often break strings will like it!

Sun (gauge 1.30 mm)

is a polyester not so powerfull with nice ball control. It is recommended for powerfull players.
Thanks to its cheap price, it is recommended to often change it to maximize its qualities.
Players who often break strings will like it, 39 € for a 300m reel!
Be carefull, the Sun is really stiff and not recommended for children, women, and recreational tennis players.

Sand (gauge 1.23 et 1.27 mm)

is a great quality polyester. It is powerfull with nice ball control. It provides a nice ball bite to give more ball spin. It is resistant and stiff (not as much as the Sun). Its efficiency life time is not so long, like most polyesters.
It is recommended for baseliners.
I like the Sand better than the Sun or Toro.
